Answers on every formula — what it does, what surfaces it's safe for, and how to use it right.

01
General
YoreCaddy is a premium golf equipment care brand. We make formulation-specific cleaning and protection products for every surface in your bag — clubs, grips, headcovers, shoes, and the bag itself. Every formula is purpose-built for the material it treats, not a one-size-fits-all solution.
The Field Kit includes 9 pieces: No. 01 Club Protectant (3 fl oz), No. 02A Fabric Cleaner (6 fl oz), No. 02B Fabric Re-proofer (6 fl oz), No. 03 Leather Cleaner + Conditioner (12 fl oz), No. 04 Shoe Cleaner + Protectant (12 fl oz), No. 05 Grip Cleaner + Conditioner (12 fl oz), plus a microfiber towel, detail brush, and an applicator pad.
Yes. Every formulation in the YoreCaddy line is PFAS-free — including No. 02B, which restores water resistance without per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. We use next-generation DWR technology that performs without the chemistry that's been phasing out of consumer products.
Because the materials behave completely differently. Forged steel clubs corrode differently than irons. Nylon bag fabric requires a different pH than leather headcovers. Rubber grips need conditioning agents that would damage synthetic mesh. A single product can't do all of these correctly — it would either be too aggressive on delicate materials or too weak to actually protect harder surfaces.
02
No. 01 — Club Protectant
Yes — that's exactly what it's designed for. No. 01 is formulated to wipe clean before play, making it compliant with USGA Rule 4.1a(3), which prohibits any substance on the clubface that could affect ball spin or movement during play. Apply it, let it bond, and wipe before your round. Your clubs are protected and you're in the rules.
Oxidation, rust, surface scratches, and UV-related finish degradation. Golf clubs are exposed to rain, humidity, sweat, bag contact, and UV — especially the shaft and hosel area. No. 01 creates a protective barrier on metal surfaces that slows corrosion and keeps your clubs looking and performing like new.
Yes — irons, wedges, woods, drivers, and putters. No. 01 is silicone-free, so it won't interfere with the metal finish or leave a slick residue that could affect grip. It's safe for chrome, satin, brushed, and raw finishes.
Silicone-based protectants leave a film that's hard to fully remove and can migrate to the grip or clubface over time. On the clubface, any residue at impact is a rules violation risk. On the grip, it reduces tack. We built No. 01 to protect the metal without any of those trade-offs.

No. 02 — Fabric Cleaner + Re-proofer
02A is the cleaner — it removes dirt, grass stains, and surface grime from the bag fabric. 02B is the re-proofer — it restores the water-resistant coating (DWR) that wears off over time. They're a two-step system: clean first with 02A, let it dry, then re-proof with 02B.
No. For routine cleaning, 02A alone is enough. Use 02B when you notice your bag is no longer beading water well — typically every few months for regular players, or after prolonged wet conditions. Think of 02A as your wash and 02B as your seasonal treatment.
No. 02A is safe for nylon, polyester, canvas, and synthetic leather (PU-coated) — covering the full range of modern golf bag construction including most premium bags. For real leather bags or bags with genuine leather panels, use No. 03 on those surfaces instead; it's pH-neutral and formulated for hide. No. 02B (re-proofer) should be used on the fabric and synthetic leather panels only — not on genuine leather.
Use No. 03 for genuine leather surfaces. It's pH-neutral and safe for hide — the same formula that handles leather headcovers. For bags with mixed construction (leather trim + nylon or canvas body), use No. 02A on the fabric sections and No. 03 on the leather panels. Most premium bags — Titleist, Sun Mountain, PING, Vessel — use synthetic leather (PU) or coated canvas for the main body, which is fully compatible with 02A.
Allow the bag to air dry fully before use — typically 2–4 hours at room temperature. Avoid rain or moisture exposure during the cure window for best results.
04
No. 03 — Leather Cleaner + Conditioner
No. 03 is formulated at a neutral pH so it's safe for genuine leather, knit, and synthetic materials — headcovers, leather golf bags, and leather trim panels. It won't dry out leather, loosen knit fibers, or damage synthetic coatings. For fabric and synthetic leather bags, use No. 02A instead.
Yes — for maintenance use, it's enough on its own. Leather cracks when it dries out over time, and the conditioner in No. 03 keeps the hide hydrated and supple, which stops that process before it starts. Clean and condition regularly and your leather won't crack.

Where No. 03 has limits is restoration — if leather is already severely dried, faded, or has existing cracks, a single-step formula won't reverse that damage. No. 03 is a maintenance product, not a repair product. Used consistently, you should never need a restorer.
No. 03 is dye-safe and won't affect embroidered or printed logos. For extra caution on dark or delicate knit headcovers, test on a small inconspicuous area first.
05
No. 04 — Shoe Cleaner + Protectant
No. 04 is safe for leather, synthetic leather, mesh, and waterproof membrane uppers — the full range of modern golf shoe construction. It cleans both the upper and the sole/spike area, and adds UV protection to slow color fading and material breakdown.
Yes, both. The formula is designed to work in and around spike hardware without weakening the threads or degrading the spike material. Spikeless outsoles clean up just as well — especially important for clearing turf and mud out of the traction pattern.
Both — in a single step. It lifts dirt and grass stains while depositing a UV-protective barrier as it dries. You don't need a separate protectant coat; one application handles cleaning and protection together.
06
No. 05 — Grip Cleaner + Conditioner
It removes the buildup of sweat, sunscreen, and oils that accumulates in the grip's surface texture over time — which is the primary reason grips get slick. The conditioner then restores the rubber compound's suppleness and tack, so the grip feels and performs closer to new without you having to re-grip.
The opposite. The conditioner is formulated for rubber compounds, not to lubricate them. It restores tack by rejuvenating the surface rather than coating it. Let the grip dry fully before use — typically 10–15 minutes — and you'll notice the difference immediately.
Standard rubber, synthetic rubber, and cord grips. It's safe for all major grip brands including Golf Pride, Lamkin, SuperStroke, and Winn. We don't recommend it on leather wrap grips — use No. 03 for those instead.
For regular players, once a month is a good baseline — more frequently if you play in hot weather or use sunscreen/lotion regularly. If you play two or three times a week, you'll notice the difference in tack week to week when you're consistent about it.

Usage & Safety
Yes. The YoreCaddy formulations are designed for low-odor, low-VOC use in a home or locker room environment. You don't need ventilation or outdoor use requirements.
All formulas are non-toxic and skin-safe with normal handling. As with any cleaning product, avoid eye contact and keep out of reach of young children. No special handling or protective equipment required for normal use.
Yes — each formula is stable for a minimum of 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. The lot number and production date are printed on each bottle.
No. 01 (3 fl oz / 89 mL) is under the TSA 100 mL limit and can travel in a carry-on quart bag. The other bottles exceed the 100 mL limit and must be checked or shipped to your destination. We're developing a travel set for a future release.
